Our Career Services
Environmental Career Workshops
These two hour workshops have been developed by recruitment and career development specialists. They are aimed at graduates / soon to be graduates and careers changers to provide advice and guidance on how to get you started in the environmental industry! The structure of the session addresses:
*What is an Environmental Job?
*Career Development Cycle (Self Assessment, Exploration and Implementation)
*Sharing the frustrations – Group work
*Strategies to overcome frustrations – Group work
*Your top tip from the evening
* Question and answer session
The workshops are generally organised to run the third wednesday evening of every month, between 6.15 - 8.15pm. Entry is $60, including GST. Attendees receive a free copy of the EnviroPluck DVD. For information on the next workshop visit the Events page.
Environmental Careers One-on-One Sessions **NOW IN SYDNEY TOO**
These 45 minutes session are run by our recruitment and career consultants. The session includes one-on-one advice and a CV review. They take place every Wednesday between 2pm - 3pm (Melbourne) and every Tuesday between 12 - 1pm (Sydney) or can be done over the phone (for other states). Other times may be arranged to suit on request, if our consultants are agreeable. The costs are:
* Full Time Student / unemployed: $60 (including GST).
* Part Time Student: $66 (including GST).
* Professional / Employed: $80 (including GST).
Networking Sessions
Our experience tells us that not only is networking the most important activity to do when job hunting, but is the most difficult. EJN has therefore developed Networking sessions to enable you to pick up some tips and techniques to break that silence, make the first move and be a confident networker. Organised every quarter, the session take place in social settings and involve several fun exercises. For information on the next session visit the Events page.
